Summary: 

  • Discussed the development of Taiwanese social enterprise, public funding and its influence on the social economy.
  • She said that the private sector should be progressed and the government should have funds for start-up and initiatives.
  • They are trying to provide employment for persons with disabilities.
  • There are Taipei city’s subsidy principles for the disabled employment social enterprises. First, the subsidy will be slowly reduced on an annual base. Second, the subsidies for professional and operator employees should be sustained at a ratio of 1:8 or higher. It means that there should be one professional to lead other eight people with disabilities. Also, people with disabilities should account for 60% of the total employees.
