Global Social Economy Forum

Registration for one of the biggest international gatherings for the social economy, GSEF biannual conference – 'GSEF2018 Social economy and cities: Values and competitiveness for an inclusive and sustainable local development (1-3 Oct, 2018)’ is now open for public.

GSEF 2018 (Bilbao, 1~3 October 2018) will be taking place in Spain which has shown a remarkable resilience in overcoming economic difficulties through the social economy.

The Asia Venture Philanthropy Network (AVPN), one of the GSEF Steering Committee Member organizations, is going to organize its annual conference from June 4~7th, 2018 in Singapore.

Rev. Kyong Yong Song, co-chair of GSEF was invited by the Asia Pacific Alliances of YMCAs (APAY) as a special lecturer on the Social and Solidarity Economy for around 100 members of the APAY executive committee on the 15th of March.

The first Asia Pacific Social Enterprise Summit in Taichung City, Taiwan, ‘Tomorrow Asia’ will be held from May 5~6th, 2018 at Taichung Cultural and Creative Industries Park.

Espriu Foundation in Spain was established in 1989 as a private non-profit organization, and it has been placed the third in the global rankings of health cooperatives.

We introduce two reports which analyzed and reviewed the potentialities of cooperatives as alternatives in various areas. The first one is a strategic paper, ‘The Future of Work' from CICOPA. and 'The working together' by co-operative college
