Summary:

The project aims for local economic regeneration based on wellbeing according to four criteria: social development, environmental conservation, cultural development and health care. Based on concepts of the solidarity economy, it has generated a development scheme for small local enterprises, producers, storekeepers and consumers willing to produce goods and services that encourage the development of the four areas above mentioned. In Mexico City, 400 producers are already members of this Conscious Commerce network. The integration of different organizations and social stakeholders is carried out according to a ”Xikuri Regenerativo” model, through the interinstitutional link between the organized civil society, public and private bodies and international organizations.
