The City of Montreal launched its Action plan on Social Innovation

The City of Montreal announced its 2018-2022 Action Plan on Social Innovation during the 7th edition of the Social Innovation Summit of Montreal. The City will pursue its investment in social economy enterprises, with a total budget of 16.9 M$. The main strategies include developing public procurement from social economy enterprises, supporting the international influence of social economy as well as social innovation initiatives, and fostering the implementation of a strong culture of collaboration between universities, the City and social innovators. It will contribute to the growth of socially innovative stuctures dedicated to social innnovation. 

As a first action already in movement, the City of Montréal will fund a delegation of social economy enterprises for the GSEF 2018 in Bilbao next fall.  (available in French only :
