Newsletter December 2020
Season's Greetings from the Secretary-General
Dear GSEF Members, Partners and Friends, Did you all hear the news that this year’s Santa can only arrive on the 9th of January 2021 after 14 days of quarantine? Yes, this is a joke, but this shows very well how the COVID-19 pandemic affects our lives. The year of 2020 is an unforgettable and challenging year to many of us with the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic disrupting our daily lives and works. At this critical time, however, the GSEF Secretariat would like to first express our deepest solidarity and compassion to all. This year GSEF has tried many new things to adapt itself to a completely new environment. We would like to share some of the achievements of the year, including our virtual activities and KOICA COVID-19 Program with you in this newsletter. (.............) All the achievements would never have been possible without your enthusiastic support and contribution. We send our sincere gratitude for the wonderful solidarity that you have shown us throughout the year. We trust that this will be the driving force for the coming year as we move towards GSEF2021. We are looking forward to meeting you in our future events and at GSEF2021 in person in Mexico City. Let our solidarity light up the world! Warmest thoughts and best wishes for a wonderful Holiday, for health, and happiness throughout the coming year.
Laurence Kwark, Secretary General of Global Social Economy Forum
