UNRISD released a brief about Nicaragua, a country, which faced with dwindling assistance from traditional donors, created new partnerships to develop social programs that are highly needed in the society. Nicaragua has failed to expand taxes on wealth and income, and mostly relied on assistance from their original donors before. This recent change of Nicaragua developed; creating a new relationship between state and donor as well as state and citizen especially with China, Brazil, and Venezuela, and upgrading institutional capacities for revenue mobilization and service delivery.
