The 2018 Social Cooperative International School

The “2018 Social Cooperative International School” will be held October 25-28 in Naples, Italy. The event is hosted by CICOPA – International Organization of Industrial and Service Cooperation – and the registration has begun. 

The Social Cooperative Internaitonal School (SCIS) is an annual event that promotes exchange of experiences, innovative development of social cooperatives and their networks at the local and transnational level. This year, they will confirm the successful formula of the past editions and foster the connection and development of the social cooperatives to promote their international cooperation.

The SCIS2018 is consisted of three thematic sessions and international seminars. Each thematic session will contain a theoretic introduction on the topic, the presentation of best practices, and workshops to deepen the participants’ knowledge on different aspects of social cooperatives and social enterprises’ activities.

The topics for each session are as follows.

Session 1 – Introduction: Social Cooperatives: normative framework and best practices in the international context

Session 2 – Social impact: evaluation and measurement in social cooperatives

Session 3 – Social Cooperatives and technological innovation: challenges and opportunities

International Seminar – Urban regeneration and local communities: social cooperatives promoting economic, environmental and social sustainability
