Throughout the years, GSEF has organised learning sessions on various social economy themes, such as social finance or community-based urban regeneration, for practitioners, researchers and local government officials. GSEF uses various methodologies such as peer to peer review, seminars, lectures and case studies to enhance the learning experience and to assist mutual exchanges between participants from diverse backgrounds. A big part of the GSEF learning initiatives is currently underway by its sister institution, C.I.T.I.E.S based in Montreal which was established in 2016 as an outcome of the GSEF2016.
