Locality 2016 Convention

8 - 9 November 2016, York, the UK

The GSEF Steering Committee member ‘Locality’ is hosting its 2016 annual convention from 8 to 9 November in York under the theme ‘the people, places and spaces’. Locality as a world leading network for sustainable community development based on community assets and enterprises, will provide stimulating opportunities of knowledge exchange, learning and networking with more than 400 Locality members nationwide. Along with expert-led workshops, master classes and debate sessions, distinguished speakers will share their insights on building the sustainable community, speakers including but not limited to John McDonnell (MP, Shadow Chancellor), The RT Hon Lord Heseltine (Former Deputy Prime Minister), Hazel Blears (Chair of Social Investment Business and former Communities Minister) and Lord Kerslake (President of the Local Government Association and former Head of the Civil Service).
